Spiral XP is a 5-piece band from Seattle, WA led by Max Keyes (of Versing). Formed at the start of 2020, the band has gone through several line up and city changes to reach its current formation which includes members of other Seattle bands like Coral Grief and Dead Family Dog. Spiral XP use a powerful guitar-forward sound to craft their own brand of shoegaze and grunge inspired pop songs that aim to claim a lasting place in a noisy and over abundant content culture.
Spiral XP’s second EP It’s Been a While releases February 17 on Los Angeles-based label Danger Collective. Written during the course of some major life transitions, It’s Been a While tackles themes that include alienation, self-care, and the incredible weight of capitalism. It’s Been a While was recorded at the LA analog Studio 22 by Joojoo Ashworth, best known for his work with bands like Automatic, Sasami, and Dummy.
